This recipe looks really great.
Annie
Thanks, Sara! They are pretty yummy 🙂
Claire
Would oat flour work in place of whole wheat?
Annie
I've never tried that, but I don't see why it wouldn't work! You might want to add in some xanthan gum to help bind. But I can't vouch for it since I haven't tested it myself! Please do let me know if you make it how it turns out 🙂
Emilie
Hey. They looks really yummy:) But can I use something else instead of applesauce?
Annie
Hmm good question. I am not sure because I've never tried, but I usually have success substituting pureed yellow squash in place of the applesauce! Or pureed pumpkin!
Patty
I have substituted Garbanzo bean flour in quite a few baking recipes with almost the same results and taste as All Purpose Flour. Would it work in this one? I try to stay away from all grains.
Annie Markowitz
Hi Patty! I am actually not sure because I have never tried that - I'm sorry!!!
