I had never heard of mulled wine until I attended a holiday party a few weeks ago, but it quickly became my new favorite winter-time cocktail! It is sweet like sangria, but also kind of spicy and served warm.
Seriously SO delicious.
Mulled wine typically contains added sugar, but this low-sugar Keto Mulled Wine has all of the sweetness coming from the orange slices and a few drops of liquid stevia extract.

Equipment you'll need: medium stockpot
Ingredients: makes 5 servings (5 ounces each)
- 1 bottle red wine
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 8 whole cloves
- 8 drops liquid stevia extract (or other sweetener of choice)
- 1/4 cup brandy (optional)
- Combine all ingredients in medium stockpot and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Note: If you bring to a full boil, you will boil out most of the alcohol!
- Simmer for at least 15 minutes (and up to 3 hours) at low to medium heat.
