Discover all you need to know to get back into alignment when you've slipped out! Here are my 5 favorite fool-proof methods (and 3 things you MUST avoid).
I'm often asked about how I stay so positive all the time. It hasn't always been like this! Just like you, I've had a life full of ups and downs, excitement and disappointment, joy and sadness.
In high school, I was very overweight (technically "obese"), and constantly made fun of. This caused all sorts of deep psychological issues on all different kinds of topics - relationships, depression, self-worth, body-image - basically, I was a mess.
So if I can become fully aligned, I PROMISE YOU, so can you ???
Why do you want to become aligned? Well, not only will you feel HAPPY all the time (as if that isn't a good enough reason on its own!), you'll also be able to MANIFEST all that you desire!!!! Woooohooooo!! ???
The process of stepping into full alignment is really very simple. Every time you find yourself not feeling happy, do something or think something that does make you happy!!!
That's all alignment is - happiness from one moment to the next. It is nothing out of reach or difficult!
Because the only time that actually exists is NOW, it is very easy to be aligned and stay aligned forever! It just requires becoming aware of your negative thoughts when they occur, and switching them to positive ones OR doing something else so that you are no longer thinking the negative thought.
Catching the negative thoughts is like training a muscle - over time, you will catch more and more of them, and before you know it, you will notice that you don't even have them anymore!! I promise you. That is where you are headed, and it happens so much more quickly than you think it will.
"A happy life is just a string of happy moments, but most people don't allow the happy moment because they are too busy trying to get a happy life." - Abraham Hicks
Here are my 5 favorite ways to get back into alignment:
1. Blast music and dance!
This is my go-to. Whenever I am feeling negative in any way - stressed, sad, upset, doubtful, worried - I head STRAIGHT to my bluetooth speaker, turn it on as loud as it goes, and blast one of my favorite songs. I start dancing (in front of a mirror - that's my thing for some reason ?) and within 30 seconds, I feel so much better. Sometimes when I'm feeling negative I can hear my brain saying, "NO I DON'T FEEL LIKE DANCING" but I've learned to ignore it, because doing this ALWAYS makes me feel better no matter what. Music and dancing is an instant vibrational boost.
2. Watch/Listen to Law of Attraction & Abraham Hicks YouTube videos or IG videos.
I always find comfort when I listen to Abraham Hicks seminars on YouTube! There are a few other YouTubers that I also enjoy (I'll do a separate post on my favorites and who to avoid), but I am always infinitely calmer after listening to a good 'ole Abe sesh.
3. Laugh!!!
I love watching comedians on YouTube, too!! There is so much funny stuff out there. Laughing is total alignment and is one of the highest vibrations that exists! Go browse and find your favorite comedians.
4. Journal
Write in your journal about something you are excited about that is coming in the future. Or write about why you love someone. Or write about a funny experience you've had recently. Just write about something happy! I like to use Diarly (a free journal app) to type on my computer when I don't feel like writing with a pen/paper.
5. Meditate
The traditional methods of meditating never worked for me. I didn't ever feel any effects when I followed other people's instructions on YouTube. All I do to "meditate" is lay on my floor, play this music, close my eyes, and breathe deeply. I shift my focus in my mind's eye to where my third eye is, and just relax. I don't count my breaths or anything. I just relax. I always feel better after this - calm, collected, and at peace. I never set a timer or do a set amount of time, I just do it until I feel done! It could be 10 minutes, could be 30, could be 2 minutes... doesn't matter. What works one day might not work the next, and that's how it's supposed to be!! Our inner beings don't like routines anyway ?
Here's what NOT to do if you want to get back into alignment:
1. Do NOT call a friend or family member.
No one else can get you back into alignment (except me...!). Especially not a friend or family member who isn't in alignment!!! If you seek advice, the advice you usually get is WRONG. Here's an example of something I used to do that is NOT correct.
Me: "Mom, I'm so upset. My blog isn't making enough money and I'm trying sooooo hard. I just keep working and working and nothing is WORKING!"
Mom: "I'm so sorry, Sweetie. Just keep on grinding - don't stop working!! The more effort you put in, the more results you'll see!."
You and I both know that TRYING (especially when you aren't in alignment) is NOT productive. The most productive thing you can do is get INTO alignment, and then follow your guidance from within on the proper steps to take! This guidance can only be heard when you are in alignment.
2. Do NOT go on Instagram and stalk your old friends from high school.
This is the absolute worst thing you can do when you aren't in alignment - turning to Instagram and looking at how much happier, prettier, wealthier, etc. EVERYONE ELSE is than YOU. First of all, it's not true (no one posts about how they hate their lives and aren't making enough money on their IG!!! DUH!). Comparing ourselves to others will NOT help us EVER. And it just takes us further down the rabbit hole of misalignment.
3. Do NOT try to figure out WHY you aren't in alignment.
It doesn't matter WHY. It just matters that you aren't in alignment. Stay off of the topic that is upsetting your alignment. Don't talk about it, don't think about it, just do or think something ELSE. ANYTHING else. If you continue to search for WHY, you just draw more of the misalignment towards you.
