Fact about me: I'm a snacker. I love to snack! Many people are against snacking and believe in small meals throughout the day, but the key to snacking is to snack on the right stuff. As I have transformed my diet over the years, the things I'd snack on changed from twinkies (yes, seriously) to cereal (Special K with strawberries, yum!) to VEGGIES! Although the taste of plain, raw veggies has grown on me, my favorite way to snack on them is to dip them in a delicious, savory dip or drizzle them with some kind of yummy (healthy, of course) sauce. It makes your average carrot or celery stick turn into an amazingly delicious treat! Here is a recipe for a yummy cheese dip made from 100% raw foods. One of the many benefits of raw foods is that they contain enzymes that actually help us digest our food! This helps us save the energy that would typically be devoted to digestion for doing other things.
