If you haven't gone into a chocolate coma from trying all of my Valentine's Day chocolate recipes (Raw Chocolates, Raw Chocolate-Covered Strawberries, and Chocolate Cookie Dough Balls), here is another delicious one! Hot chocolate is one of my favorite comfort foods, but it was one of the first things I eliminated when I became health conscious. I was ecstatic to discover this recipe that is actually healthy and tastes AMAZING, too! Unlike most commercial hot chocolate, this one contains cacao, which is is an antioxidant-rich food with 2-3 times greater antioxidant concentration than green tea! (source). Antioxidants prevent free radical damage in the body, meaning that they help reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, and aging (source). Try this decadent, creamy hot chocolate with your special someone today and enjoy the amazing taste and health benefits without any guilt. When you experience the chocolatey deliciousness of this scrumptious beverage, you will not believe that it contains only 48 calories, 1.4 grams of fat, and 1 gram of sugar (compared to an 8 ounce hot chocolate at Starbucks, which contains 210 calories, 10 grams of fat, and 24 grams of sugar). Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!!
