It is perfect for dipping vegetables or whole wheat pita into! (That is exactly what I had for dinner the other night after I had spent all day in the kitchen making Low-Carb Chocolate Chip Cookies, Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, and a few more recipes that I'll be posting over the next couple days!)
As an added bonus to the deliciously sweet, spicy, creamy taste, this dip will also boost your metabolism!
Cayenne pepper contains a molecule called "capsaicin," which is what gives it its spicy kick.
Capsaicin causes what is known as the "thermogenic effect," where your body actually burns up extra calories during digestion!
When your mouth starts burning, your eyes are tearing up, and you may even start to sweat a little, that's when you know thermogenesis is in full effect and your metabolism is working at top speed (source).
Enjoy this delicious dip and burn up some extra calories while you eat!
