My boyfriend and I have been on a smoothie kick lately. We love how they are easily portable and fill us up all morning long. If it's a Tuesday or Thursday, you can always find us walking to class together bright and early, green smoothies in hand! I've been experimenting with my basic Simple Green Smoothie recipe and seeing what else I can add in for an extra nutritional boost. Here is the first of many variations. Happy blending!

1 cup non-dairy milk (we've been using cashew milk lately - delicious!!)
1 cup water
1 apple
1 banana (frozen for an extra-creamy smoothie!)
1.5 cups kale
protein powder (optional)
2 dates (optional)
1. Combine all ingredients in blender, and blend until smooth.
